Typical use Of Neomycin :To Prevent Or Treat Bacterial Diarrhea And Dysentery. It Is Also Used For Pre-operative Sterilization Of The Bowel And To Reduce Symptoms Of Coma Due To Liver Disease (hepatic Coma); To Cure Infected Wound, Ulcers, Burn, External Ear Infections And Conjunctivitis.
Mechanism of action of Neomycin :Neomycin Prevents The Bacterial Growth By Inhibiting The Synthesis Of Protein In Susceptible Bacterial Cells.
Drug Interaction of Neomycin :Neomycin May Interact With Drugs Including Phenoxymethyl Penicillin, Digoxin, Methotrexate, Acarbose, Atracurium, Cyanocobalamin, Doxacurium, Fluorouracil, Gentamicin, Gestodene And Pancuronium Bromide, Neostigmine And Pyridostigmine.
