Typical use Of Clotrimazole :Clotrimazole Is Used For The Treatment Of Fungal Skin Infections Including Ringworm, Fungal Nappy Rash, Infections Of The Armpit, Toes And Skin Folds, Vulva, Groin Or Penis.
Mechanism of action of Clotrimazole :Clotrimazole Acts Against The Fungi By Impairing The Permeability Of The Fungal Cell Wall And Inhibits The Activity Of Enzymes Within The Cell. It Specifically Inhibits The Biosynthesis Of Ergosterol And Other Sterols Required For Cell Membrane Production.
Drug Interaction of Clotrimazole :Clotrimazole May Cause Damage To Latex Contraceptives (condoms). Consequently Patient Should Be Advised To Use Alternative Precautions For At Least Five Days After Using This Product.
