Mechanism of action of Micafungin :Micafungin Inhibits The Synthesis Of Beta-1,3-D-glucan, An Essential Component Of Fungal Cell Walls Which Is Not Present In Mammalian Cells. It Does This By Inhibiting Beta-1,3-D-glucan Synthase.
Drug Interaction of Micafungin :Micafungin Is Known To Interact With Other Drugs Like Nifedipine And Sirolimus. Always Consult Your Physician For The Change Of Dose Regimen Or An Alternative Drug Of Choice That May Strictly Be Required.
Side effects of Micafungin :Fever, Headache, Cough, Rigors, Rash, Pruritus, Hypokalaemia, Hypomagnesaemia, Diarrhoea, Nausea, Vomitting, Abdominal Pain, Mucosal Inflammation, Constipation, Thrombocytopenia And Neutropenia.
