Typical use Of Faropenem :Lower Respiratory Tract Infections, ENT Infections, And Genitourinary Infections.
Mechanism of action of Faropenem :Faropenem Interfere With PBP (penicillin Binding Protein) Activity Involved In The Final Phase Of Peptidoglycan Synthesis. PBPs Are Enzymes Which Catalyze A Pentaglycine Crosslink Between Alanine And Lysine Residues Providing Additional Strength To The Cell Wall. Without A Pentaglycine Crosslink, The Integrity Of The Cell Wall Is Severely Compromised And Ultimately Leads To Cell Lysis And Death. Eventually Faropenem Binds To PBP And Leads To Cell Lysis And Death.
Drug Interaction of Faropenem :Faropenem Is Known To Interact With Other Drugs Like Imipenem, Cilastatin, Furosemide, Sodium Valporate. Always Consult Your Physician For The Change Of Dose Regimen Or An Alternative Drug Of Choice That May Strictly Be Required.
