At A Lower Dose, It Is Used To Reduce The Likelihood Of Heart Attack In Case The Patient Has Had Heart Attack, Anginal Pain, Heart Surgery Or Stroke. |

Mechanism of action of Aspirin : | Chemicals Like Prostaglandins Are Released When There Is Injury, Infection Or Inflammation And This Causes Pain And Fever. Aspirin Decreases The Amount Of This Chemical (prostaglandin) In The Body By Blocking The Enzyme That Makes Prostaglandins (cyclooxygenase). As A Consequence, Swelling, Pain, And Fever Are Reduced. Inhibition Of Prostaglandins Also Reduces The Function Of Platelets And The Ability Of Blood To Clot. |
Drug Interaction of Aspirin : | Use Of Aspirin Along With Other Pain-killers Or Corticosteroids May Increase The Likelihood Of Stomach And Intestinal Side Effects.
