Typical use Of Aspirin :Aspirin Is Used To Treat Mild To Moderate Pain Including Headache, Toothache, Sore Throat, Period Pains, Symptomatic Relief Of Sprains, Strains, Joint And Connective Tissue Pain, Lower Back Pain, Pain In Buttocks, Hips, Or Adjacent Parts, Fever And Feverish Colds, Muscle Pain, Joint Swelling, Stiffness And Pain, And Reduce Fever. At A Lower Dose, It Is Used To Reduce The Likelihood Of Heart Attack In Case The Patient Has Had Heart Attack, Anginal Pain, Heart Surgery Or Stroke.
Mechanism of action of Aspirin :Chemicals Like Prostaglandins Are Released When There Is Injury, Infection Or Inflammation And This Causes Pain And Fever. Aspirin Decreases The Amount Of This Chemical (prostaglandin) In The Body By Blocking The Enzyme That Makes Prostaglandins (cyclooxygenase). As A Consequence, Swelling, Pain, And Fever Are Reduced.
