Typical use Of Atracurium :Adjunct To Anesthesia, Muscle Relaxation, Muscle Relaxation During Intensive Care, Muscle Relaxation For Surgery Or Intubation, Neuromuscular Blockade.
Mechanism of action of Atracurium :Atracurium Antagonizes The Neurotransmitter Action Of Acetylcholine By Binding Competitively With Cholinergic Receptor Sites On The Motor End-plate. This Antagonism Is Inhibited, And Neuromuscular Block Reversed, By Acetylcholinesterase Inhibitors Such As Neostigmine, Edrophonium, And Pyridostigmine.
Drug Interaction of Atracurium :Atracurium Is Known To Interact With Other Drugs Like Actinomycin D, Aprotinin, Carbamazepine, Desflurane, Enflurane, Fentanyl (Citrate), Gentamicin, Halothane, Isoflurane, Lignocaine, Lincomycin (HCl), Neomycin, Piperacillin (Na).
